A very mixed outing as I felt I delivered in some areas but lacked a bit of luck which didn’t help when it came to publications. I was disappointed that I didn’t get a single strong goal or celebration shot but sometimes that’s just how things go.
On a positive note I was able to vary things up with my pre-match stadium shots by venturing up the Leazes End. I quite like the fish-eye from the middle of the stand but the 16-35mm shot works too. It’s easy to think of the stadium shots as just a throwaway image to test that the PSI system is setup ready to go but it’s fun to challenge myself to shoot something different at every match.
I was also happy to have 20 images done by half time and another ten by the end of the match. I’ve been looking to increase the speed of my workflow to get more images out and it appears to be working. Still a couple of issues with file renaming but I’m hoping to iron those out next time.
